About-us.

From the Heart of Bihar to the World

Sikki Store is not just a business it’s a dream, a mission, and a promise to keep the rich traditions of Bihar alive. Our purpose is simple yet powerful: to give rural artisans and homemakers a platform that transforms their handmade products into a global brand.

We aim to bring the taste, texture, and artistry of our villages not just across India, but to every corner of the world. Every product we sell carries the essence of Bihar organic, chemical-free, handmade, and steeped in tradition.

Why We Exist

Our villages are full of talent, but lack the means to reach the right market. Generations have perfected recipes, crafts, and techniques, yet their work often stays within the village boundaries. Sikki Store exists to change that to give these creations the recognition, respect, and reach they deserve.

Our mission is to generate employment in Bihar and protect our centuries-old traditions from fading away. Bihar’s heritage is thousands of years old, and we believe it should be celebrated, not forgotten.

What We Offer

We started our journey with Thekua a traditional, beloved sweet of Bihar. But this is just the beginning. Soon, our store will offer:

Khaja, Gujiya (Prikiya), Khabuni, Makke ka Chura (Poha), Sun-dried Vegetables, Desi Ghee, Aachar (Pickle), Home-grown Mushrooms.

The Founder’s Journey

I, the founder of Sikki Store, never imagined I would build a brand like this.

In 2022, after completing my college studies, I returned to my home in Bihar. What I saw broke my heart — there were almost no jobs. Most people were chasing government jobs, and those who couldn’t get one often migrated to other states to survive. The few who stayed either entered politics or engaged in quick-profit but harmful businesses like selling alcohol, drugs, or other illegal products. The rest depended on small-scale farming, with land holdings often less than 2 acres.

Life felt stuck.

I too thought of leaving Bihar for a job in Delhi, Bengaluru, or Mumbai. But every time I saw my grandparents, my parents, my home, I couldn’t take that step. My father, a government school teacher, lived far away due to his job. At home, I was the only man responsible for supporting my family mentally, socially, and emotionally. My mother would tell me, “Go, beta, find a job outside. We’ll manage.” But I couldn’t bring myself to leave them behind.

I tried starting a business and failed. I ended up with ₹10 lakh in debt. It was one of the lowest points of my life. But failure taught me more than success ever could. I didn’t give up. I met new people, learned new things, and began thinking: What if I could create something that helps others like me? What if we could work together to create something that keeps people in Bihar, instead of pushing them away?

That thought became Sikki Store. A platform that would not only sell products but tell stories, protect traditions, and create jobs right here in Bihar.
